We are happy to offer the first computer based, broadcast quality, Non-Linear and Linear digital video editing system in the West Contra Costa area. To accomplish this, we have selected the FAST Video Machine™ because of its unparalled flexibility in terms of interfacing with various videotape recorders, and its ability to work simultaneously in both linear and non-linear editing modes.
Because of FAST's ability to digitize video at Betacam or better quality, we prefer to operate in the non-linear mode. By storing all good scenes on the system's hard drives, selected shots can be efficiently rearranged and trimmed. Results can be seen immediately, without having to re-load tapes and wait for them to cue to the proper points. Our system currently has enough hard drive space to store and manipulate more than an hour's worth of broadcast-quality video and eight channels of CD-quality stereo audio. We have included the Inscriber™ video character generator which integrates with FAST's VM-Plus™ software to create graphics, titles and other visual elements which can be inserted into the program with the same speed and ease as the video footage itself. To round out graphics creation, we have several professional graphics and photo retouching applications such as Adobe Photoshop.
The Short-List of Features: Make use of video footage from Betacam SP, VHS, S-VHS, Video-8 and Hi-8 original tapes. Capture separate audio from CD, videotape or audio cassette. Quick cuts-only editing to full-blown digital video effects with audio sweetening. We normally deliver the finished product on Betacam SP format videotape, but can make copies to nearly any other format you need.
